2025 Washington State Soccer Association Super Cup Update - March 31, 2025

The 2025 Washington State Soccer Association Super Cup is well underway, with seven of the eight first-round matches now completed. In the first round we have seen last years champs eliminated by the Seagam side, so the cup is definitely headed toward a new home in 2025. 

Tim Busch, president of WSSA and founder of the Super Cup had this to say about the competition this year- "The 2025 Super Cup is the largest ever with 16 teams and in 2025 we’ll have a new champion after Seagam FC (from Lynwood and of the CPL) knocked off the 2024 Yakima FC champions (see last years championship story here) in round 1. This competition brings the best of Washington's amateur men's soccer community together to compete with all teams welcome both WSSA/USASA members and outside affiliates and serves as our states men’s amateur open cup."

Teams from across the state have battled for a chance to advance, and the competition has been intense. Below are the latest results from Round 1:

First Round Results:

  • Game #1 – Skagit Athletic 2 vs Salish Rangers 0

  • Game #2 – Bellevue Athletic 5 vs United Sports 1

  • Game #3 – Rat City FC 3 vs Bellevue 2 (OT, 8-7 PKs)

  • Game #4 – Bellingham United vs 3 Cities FC (Scheduled for late April)

  • Game #5 – Seagam FC 2 vs Yakima United 1

  • Game #6 – Chiquilladas 3 vs Sharktopus 2

  • Game #7 – Esperance 3 vs Holac Academy 1

  • Game #8 – FC International 12 vs Skagit Premier 0

With these results in, we now look ahead to Round 2, where the remaining teams continue their journey toward the prestigious Super Cup Final. The home teams for each match have been determined:

Round 2 Matchups:

  • Game #9 – Skagit Athletic vs FC International

  • Game #10 – Esperance vs Bellevue Athletic

  • Game #11 – Chiquilladas vs Rat City FC

  • Game #12 – Game #4 winner vs Seagam FC

Round 3 (Semifinals):

  • Game #13 – Winner of Game #9 vs Winner of Game #12

  • Game #14 – Winner of Game #10 vs Winner of Game #11

The 2025 Super Cup Final is officially scheduled for Saturday, July 12, 2025, at a neutral site, with kickoff set for 3:00 PM. In an exciting development, the final match will be broadcast live, with a major announcement regarding the event coming soon!
