🌲 What the Evergreen Premier League Stands For

The Evergreen Premier League of Washington (EPLWA) isn’t just a soccer league. It’s a mission-driven community of clubs, athletes, and supporters committed to growing the beautiful game at the local level. It is the only locally driven amateur league in the PNW that has been in operation for more than 10 years. 

We’re a team-owned, team-driven league designed to create opportunities for young players to stay sharp, develop, and compete at a high level — right in our own communities.

⚽ A League Built for Development

At its core, EPLWA is a developmental league, tailored for players in the amateur game who are hungry to grow. Many of our athletes are current college players competing in their offseason, staying fit and gaining valuable match and coaching experience over the summer. In some cases ambitious youth players are gaining experience playing against adults and there are still beyond college age veterans who still have plenty to give on the pitch and to those younger teammates they are playing with. The EPLWA provides a pathway for all players to reach a higher level and to be seen. 

Our rosters reflect that blend: the next generation of talent learning from experienced leaders, with everyone chasing improvement, fitness, high level soccer and of course fun.

Each team in the EPLWA is more than a badge. It’s a reflection of the town or city it represents. From Bellingham to Spokane to Vancouver our clubs are run by people who live and breathe their communities. We believe the best way to grow the game is to do it together — by putting on matches that double as community events and giving fans a team they can rally behind.

Whether it’s youth engagement, halftime clinics, local vendors, or partnerships with small businesses, EPLWA teams bring more than just 90 minutes of action. They bring connection.

What makes EPLWA different is simple: our teams have a real voice. As a team-owned and team-operated league, we aren’t controlled by outside investors or disconnected governing bodies. The people running this league are the same ones coaching on the sidelines, printing tickets, setting up cones, and mentoring young players.

We work together — across teams, regions, and roles — to raise the standard of play and presentation across the state. We share ideas, build solutions, and hold each other to a high standard because we know that the success of one club lifts the entire league.

🌍 From Washington to Europe — Real Racing Santander Showcase

In 2025, EPLWA partnered with Real Racing Santander (La Liga 2) and Intercontinental Football Pathways (IFP) to host an exclusive talent showcase for our players. This event gave selected EPLWA athletes direct exposure to professional Spanish coaches and scouts — a rare and meaningful opportunity for amateur players to test themselves at an international level.

The Real Racing Santander x EPLWA x IFP 2025 Showcase is a glimpse into what’s possible for players who commit to their development in our league. More than just a tryout, it was a true bridge between local ambition and global opportunity.

EPLWA is affiliated with USASA and governed under U.S. Soccer standards — giving players access to official competition and scouting exposure without gatekeeping or huge costs. We’re a stepping stone for some, a proving ground for others, and a home for many.

Our job is to help players get better, get noticed, and love the game even more.

EPLWA proudly operates under the umbrella of U.S. Soccer as a sanctioned USASA (United States Adult Soccer Association) league and is governed in Washington State through the WSASA (Washington State Adult Soccer Association).

These affiliations ensure that:

• Players are officially registered under national governing bodies

• Teams and matches are insured and sanctioned

• Discipline and competition standards meet national benchmarks

• Clubs can access grants, training resources, and talent identification programs

We are proud to be part of the greater soccer ecosystem — building bridges from grassroots to the highest levels of play.

The Evergreen Premier League is proud to work with some of the best referees in the region, many of whom are actively climbing the ranks toward national and professional certification.

We believe that high-quality officiating is essential to player development, match integrity, and the overall experience for fans and teams. That’s why we prioritize:

• Matchday professionalism and pre-game communication

• Zero-tolerance policy for abuse or dissent

• Access to evaluations, mentorship, and higher-level assignments
