EPLWA Weekend Recap: Bellingham Climbs, Yakima Dominates, Skagit and WE Surf Keep Pace

 Skagit Athletic FC earned a 4-2 win over Vancouver Victory behind a strong offensive showing that featured four different goal scorers. Sebastian Cruz, Elijah Natekin, Riki Ishikawa, and Erwins Dubecker-Devait each found the back of the net for Skagit, with Ishikawa adding an assist as well. JP Warnell scored both goals for Vancouver, but the visitors couldn’t close the gap as Skagit controlled much of the match. The win moves Skagit Athletic FC into fourth place in the league standings.

 Yakima United FC delivered a commanding performance in their latest match, cruising to an 11-1 victory over Rat City FC. The attack was firing on all cylinders, with Gonzalo Frausto leading the way with four goals. Daniel Farias netted twice, while Raymundo Mendez, Missael Lopez, Joel Rogers, and Yahir Gomez each added goals of their own. Gomez finished with a brace, and multiple players tallied assists in a well-rounded offensive showing. Rat City’s lone goal came from Deineth Avila, assisted by Owusu Fordjour. The win marks a dominant outing for Yakima as they continue as the league’s first-place team.

WE Surf SC 2 - 0 Bellevue Athletic FC 2

 WE Surf SC secured a 2-0 victory with a strong first-half showing, powered by goals from Bryce Allred and Hilario Murillo. Allred opened the scoring, and Murillo added a second to give WE Surf a comfortable lead before halftime. The defense held firm the rest of the way, preserving the shutout and sealing the win. With the result, WE Surf remains in third place in the league table.
