The 2025 Evergreen Premier League of Washington (EPLWA) season opened in thrilling fashion as Yakima United FC surged to an early lead and held strong for a 3-0 win over Skagit Athletic FC.

Yakima United came out flying, with Misael Lopez striking just four minutes into the match. Two minutes later, Mario Negrete doubled the lead, shocking Skagit with Yakima's aggressive pace. By the 16th minute, Yakima had already scored their third goal, leaving Skagit reeling early in the contest.
